Just Announced Mark Kozelek, The Rural Alberta Advantage, First Ave’s Best New Bands showcase, and more

He’s best known as the leader of Red House Painters and Sun Kil Moon, but Mark Kozelek has long seemed more like a solo artist than a frontman. Most recently he released Sun Kil Moon’s Admiral Fell Promises, an album of sparse tunes he wrote and performed entirely on his own. Fans will have a chance to hear those intimate, lean songs live and in person when Kozelek plays the Cedar Cultural Center in March.

Also new to the calendar this week are dates for All Time Low, The Rural Alberta Advantage, and First Avenue’s annual Best New Bands showcase. (Congratulations, chosen few. We hope to see you at clubs around town for years to come.) See something else you like? Click for details.
