Mark Mallman won't go away

Mark Mallman

Local rocker Mark Mallman has been omnipresent this past week, appearing on covers of both City Pages and Vita.mn as well as this very site. As of today, if you’re not totally sick of the guy, you can hear and download his recent Daytrotter session, featuring four songs off the new Invincible Criminal album as well as Mallman’s own thoughts on “existential crises” and “being a dick,” among other things. To further test your Mallman tolerance, there’s also a new video for the song “White Leather Days,” shot by MTN’s Freaky Deeky video collective and showcasing some seizure-inducing effects. The clip includes a fleeting appearance by cable-access personality Blaine Marcy, who introduced Mallman at a recent BLB gig and hosted him on her terrifically weird show “The Blaine Marcy Slumber Party.” Mallman will become more scarce on local streets as his coast-to-coast fall tour gets underway this weekend.
