Mates Of State get WAMplified!
The Weisman Art Museum has announced a new late-night music series that sounds like it'll be as much fun to attend as it is to say. WAMplified! will take place three times a year and pair musicians with thematically similar exhibitions. First up is a Dec. 12 set by husband-and-wife duo Mates Of State, whose music will compliment To Have It About You: The Dorothy And Herbert Vogel Collection, which features minimalist, conceptual, and innovative work by 20th-century American artists. This installment of WAMplified! will also feature food, drinks, video games, and a midnight tour of the museum by curator Diane Mullin and artist Lisa Bradley, whose work is featured in the collection.
