Local Newswire Megafaun plans U.S. tour, continues to be quite bearded

Megafaun, the fairly grizzled North Carolina trio, has announced a string of spring U.S. dates. Kicking off March 15 in Washington, D.C., the tour will find the group circling the states and landing in presumably beautiful Saxapahaw, North Carolina in mid-April.

Megafaun sprung from the ashes of DeYarmond Edison, a band that also featured Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and broke up in 2006. The band’s latest record, Megafaun, is lovely Southern-style jam rock, a welcome shift away from the group’s previous freak-folk leanings.
