Remember when Motion City Soundtrack played that pre-Halloween show at the Triple Rock and told everybody to dress up as dinosaurs? They weren't doing it for their own amusement. Well, maybe they were. But the request was also part of the band's plan to get the word out about their fourth album, My Dinosaur Life, which will hit stores January 19. The disc will be the local pop-punkers' major-label debut (they made the jump from Epitaph to Columbia last year). You can't make a major-label record without a major-label producer: Dinosaur marks MCS's studio reunion with Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, who also manned the board for the band's second album, Commit This To Memory. "Disappear" is the first song from the new album to be unveiled, and, strangely, it is not about the extinction of dinosaurs.
