Local Newswire See Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview Nov. 16 and 17 at the Lagoon Cinema

The worldwide outpouring of emotion following Steve Jobs’ death last month was enough to give even the most frothing Mac fanboy pause. Who would have guessed that so many people around the globe would take the game-changing entrepreneur’s death so personally? But whether you think Jobs was the second coming of Thomas Edison or just a savvy businessman whose greatest contribution to technology was saying, “Let’s make these in white,” there’s no denying that he changed the world as we know it, and continues to inspire those who dare to “think different”—and/or fork over $1,000 for a new MacBook.

But what of the Jobs junkies who have already watched his 2005 Stanford commencement speech 12 million times, or have somehow worn out their DVD copies of Pirates Of Silicon Valley? Where can they go for new pearls of Jobs’ wisdom? To their local art-house movie theater, that’s where. On Nov. 16 and 17, Landmark Theaters across the country will screen Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview. The film consists of an unedited interview Jobs gave in 1995 for the PBS miniseries Triumph Of The Nerds, and features the Apple wunderkind riffing on his career, the history of the personal computer, and the many reasons why Microsoft sucks. In Minneapolis, the 70-minute film will screen at the Lagoon Cinema Nov. 16 at 7:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., and again on Nov. 17 at 7:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Think of it as one last chance to pick the brain of an American genius.
