Slayer and Megadeth reschedule American Carnage Tour
Relax, dudes. A night of headbanging is on the horizon.
This winter has been a rollercoaster of emotions for metalheads everywhere. First, November brought news that Slayer and Megadeth would come together for the American Carnage tour (including also Testament, a redux of the epic ’91 Clash Of The Titans lineup). Then, in January, it was announced that Slayer’s Tom Araya needed back surgery—cue jokes about extreme headbanging—and all American and Canadian dates for the tour were canceled. But, as of today, the tour is back on, including a St. Paul stop Aug. 21 at Roy Wilkins, as well as new dates for Kansas City, Cleveland, Sacramento, and San Diego. All tickets from the first round of canceled dates will be honored. See, dudes? You’ve got nothing to worry about: Slayer and Megadeth wouldn’t just leave you with this summer’s nü-carnage Mayhem Fest as your only mosh outlet—they are way more metal than that.
