Local Newswire Take your pants off on the light rail this Sunday

Those of you yearning to let it all hang out (okay, not all of it) will have a chance to feel a refreshing cold breeze on your legs this Sunday during the fourth-annual No-Pants Light Rail Ride.

Developed nationally a few years ago, Minnesota’s version of the event is being shepherded by local improv group Plan B Minnesota and will kick off at 1 p.m. from the light rail stop at the Mall of America.

City Pages had a conversation with Chris Kliewer, one of Plan B’s founders, who said that attendance has spiked from 20 participants during the first year to 89 during last year’s strip show. 250 people have currently responded to the event’s Facebook page, although Kliewer says he expects about half that number.

If you do decide to go and flaunt your shapely thighs and calves, the event’s organizers would prefer if you didn’t do it in thongs or “banana hammocks.” Look, we know we might not all look like this, but we thought this thing was about freedom. Since this is an improv group after all, we’re guessing they’d prefer if you dressed in comically oversized boxers with rubber duckies on them, but that’s just a hunch.

As usual, Homer Simpson sums it up best:
