Just Announced The Black Keys at Roy Wilkins

Having just won two Grammys (three if you give them credit for dominating the Best Recording Package category), The Black Keys could easily take the rest of the year off and still call 2011 one of their best. But that’s not going to happen. The bluesy garage-rock duo is keeping busy with a string of upcoming European dates, followed by festival slots at Coachella and Bonnaroo, and now, a summer tour that crisscrosses North America. The run includes a July 3 stop at Roy Wilkins Auditorium with openers Cage The Elephant. (Pitchfork has the full tour schedule.) Tickets for the St. Paul show are $39.50 and go on sale Saturday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m.

In the meantime, check out the duo’s video for “Howlin’ For You,” which ingeniously uses the song as the backdrop for a grindhouse movie trailer starring Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer and featuring cameos from Shaun White, Corbin Bernsen, and “Sir” Todd Bridges.
