The Fiery Furnaces announce U.S. tour

More Just Announced
Sibling-core duo The Fiery Furnaces slowed down its prolific ways a bit after 2009’s I’m Going Away (and its cover of that album, called Take Me Round Again, that immediately followed) so Matt Friedberger could release a huge amount of solo material. That material includes the upcoming Old Regimes, his Solos series’ third LP, for which a harp was the only instrument used. Eleanor Friedberger also chipped in a solo album to the Friedberger canon, with Last Summer reportedly being released by Merge on July 12. But the siblings are finally coming off time-out from one another—and taking a break from recording their new album—to get the fam back together and play a handful of shows, just the two of them.
