The Hold Steady to play the Cabooze

More Just Announced
The Hold Steady are best known as a bar band, but every time we find ourselves crammed inside a stuffy, sold-out bar to see the guys perform, we can't help but think there must be a better, less suffocating way. And here it is: The Brooklyn-based, Twin Cities-spawned band will play an outdoor stage at the Cabooze on July 3. Tickets for the 18+ show are $30 and go on sale Friday morning.
The band's fifth studio album, Heaven Is Whenever, doesn't hit stores until May 4, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't already be listening to it in preparation for the show. Give it a listen on NPR's site, or fork over $150 on eBay to snag one of 600 vinyl copies sold exclusively on Record Store Day.
Update: The band is also playing an 18+ show at First Avenue on the fourth.
