The Soviettes announce reunion show, compilation of B-sides and rarities
Dearly missed Minneapolis pop-punk band The Soviettes are gearing up for their first show since breaking up in 2006. According to PunkNews.org, the band will play a special set at the Turf Club on March 19 to celebrate the release of LP IV, a collection of B-sides and rarities that's being put out by Red Sound Records. But the evening will be as much about the present as it is the past: Also on the lineup are the bandmates' post-split projects The Gateway District (featuring guitarist Maren "Sturgeon" Macosko), That's Incredible (bassist Susy Sharp), and Awesome Snakes (guitarist Annie Holoien and drummer Danny Henry).
