U2 announces 360° Tour stop at TCF Bank Stadium
It's a secret that hasn't been particularly well kept over the past few days, but now comes the official announcement: U2 will bring its 360° Tour, complete with giant sci-fi spider thingy, to Minneapolis on June 27. Said thingy will sit in the middle of TCF Bank Stadium, where it will house the speaker system, project video on a cylindrical setup of LED panels, and transport the band between the main stage and an outer ring via rotating bridges. A press release announcing the show explains that the unique staging configuration creates "excellent sight lines" and an "intimate" concert-going experience. And clearly, there are no bad seats on this stadium tour (aside from the ones directly behind the structure's legs, and those really, really far away from the stage). Tickets go on sale November 21 at 10 a.m. via LiveNation.com and Ticketmaster.
