Vid Vs. Vid: Bitch N' Brown
Greg Schaal
If you’ve ever experienced a Minnesota winter, you know what it’s like to have death on your mind. Minneapolis quartet Bitch N’ Brown understands, and the video for “The Last Thing I’ll See,” off their new self-titled album, encourages a whiskey-slicked transition to the other side. The video’s many Jameson bottles and cracked PBR cans make it clear what BNB consider a dying man’s best companion, but the song’s bleak lyrics, velvety twang, and choo-choo rhythm could set the desperate mood even without the imagery. Help yourself to plenty of forgettin’ juice when the band plays the Nomad on Saturday, Dec. 12. In the meantime, check out a more pleasant approach to death and booze, brought to you by the beer-guzzling Brits at Greene King IPA.
