Walker announces screening schedule for upcoming Coen Brothers retrospective
Frances McDormand in Fargo
Murder, greed, small-town intrigue, deeply quotable dialogue, and at least one pee-stained rug—all will be accounted for during Walker Art Center's upcoming Coen Brothers film retrospective titled Raising Cain, running Sept. 18-Oct. 17. (And no, the Coens had nothing to do with the crappy Brian De Palma thriller of the same name.) Even if some of the Minneapolis-born siblings' lesser works—The Ladykillers, anyone?—seem out of place in a venue as vaunted as the Walker, completist fans will be pleased to see the duo's entire feature filmography on the docket. For diehard Coenheads who want to plan their lives around this thing, there's now a detailed schedule of screenings.
