Wu-Tang Clan to swarm Epic on January 7
More Just Announced
When the Wu-Tang Clan performed in the Twin Cities last January, fans of the 90s hip-hop collective probably noticed an absence other than the dearly departed Ol’ Dirty Bastard. RZA, always the elder statesman of the Clan, wasn’t in attendance last time around, most likely because he was off filming his directorial debut, The Man With The Iron Fists, a film that pairs Russel Crowe with Pam Grier, so let’s cut the guy a little slack.
All eight remaining members of the Wu-Tang Clan (including RZA, who apparently doesn’t have any more Vampire Weekend videos to cameo in) will be back for another show at Epic in the dead of winter. January 7th will see RZA, Method Man, GZA, Raekwon, Ghostface Killa, Masta Killa, Inspectah Deck, and U-God return to the same venue that just last year gave them a very warm show of support. We just hope someone at least remembered to invite Cappadonna.
Tickets are on sale now and will cost you $30 for general admission, which is really like less than $4 per rapper.
While you’re here, why not kick back with the classic 1997 Wu-Tang video for “Triumph,” a video that sees the group’s members literally turning into the swarm of “killa bees” they always said they were.
