Just Announced Yelle, The Raveonettes, Adam Carolla, and more

yelle

French electro-pop trio Yelle has slowly crept into the American subconscious over the past few years, with its music popping up in commercials for The Gap and H&M, and even an episode of Entourage. And it all started when the group took to MySpace to post a song ridiculing poorly endowed misogynist rappers. We don’t speak French, so we’ll assume they’ve continued to sing about this lucky topic ever since, and in doing so, they’ve earned fans like Robyn and Katy Perry. Can Yelle’s candy-colored pop overcome the language barrier? Find out when the North American tour in support of the upcoming Safari Disco Club hits First Avenue.

Elsewhere in this week’s gig news, comedian Adam Carolla proved to be so popular that the Varsity added a second show just a few days after the first was announced. And while Taylor Swift teased us with a pair of Xcel dates months ago, we finally have ticket info.
