She’s the daughter of legendary Brazilian composer João Gilberto, but Bebel Gilberto has made a name for herself by deftly mixing samba, pop, bossa nova, and electronic sounds on albums that have garnered critical laurels and attracted enough fans to place her in cushy venues across the country. Her debut solo album, 2000’s Tanto Tempo, nabbed her a pair of Latin Grammy nominations, while 2004’s Bebel Gilberto was nominated for a World Music Grammy. Her last one was Momento, an album from 2007 that includes collaborations with Brazilian Girls and members of Forro In The Dark, and the new All In One teams her with Amy Winehouse producer Mark Ronson on another set of silky, breezily modern bossa nova.
