Building Better Bombs, 9 Altos, and Marlone at Cause Spirits And Soundbar
Stef Alexander's most well-known as P.O.S., a member of Minneapolis' Doomtree hip-hop crew and a breakout star in his own right. But he's always had one foot in the hardcore-punk scene too, hence his role as lead screamer for Building Better Bombs, which includes members of fellow Twin Cities rap group Mel Gibson & The Pants. It's not genre-dabbling, either: The quartet hit with impressive intensity on last year's debut full-length, the aptly named Freak Out Squares. Alexander's got his plate pretty heavy with P.O.S. work, given the burgeoning success of Never Better, but isn't leaving BBB to gather dust—the band continues to play frequently, and is working on a new album.
