Cowboy Junkies at Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant
Cowboy Junkies fans never seem to tire of the band’s slow, plodding songs about relationships, and while its last album of new material, 2007’s At The End Of Paths Taken, moved into slightly altered subject matter (family relationships instead of romantic relationships), the music was much the same. Though Cowboy Junkies are unlikely to ever recapture the sound of their more interesting early years as Velvet Underground worshippers, Margo Timmins & Co. can still be magical live, especially in small settings like the Dakota.
