The Current's Fifth Anniversary Party at First Avenue
Minnesota Public Radio's indie-rock arm The Current celebrates a half-decade with five terrific Minnesota acts both established and up-and-coming—synth-rockers Solid Gold and Lookbook, rapper P.O.S., singer-songwriter Mason Jennings, and ex-Trip Shakespearians Matt Wilson and John Munson's new duo, The Twilight Hours. DJs from The Current will spin between sets. The station is also releasing a new compilation disc of live in-studio performances, which will be available at the show (and free for MPR members).
