Electric Fetus Tornado Benefit at First Avenue
The Franklin Avenue record store Electric Fetus is still recovering from the August 2009 tornado that caused major structural damage, sending the shop into debt. Even the sudden demand for the Fetus T-shirt Ringo Starr wore to the Grammys couldn’t make up for that kind of loss. That's why Twin Cities bands—including Cloud Cult, Unknown Prophets, The Bill Mike Band, and Ruby Isle—organized this benefit show. In addition to live music on both the Mainroom and Entry stages, the event will feature a silent auction and raffle. The Fetus isn't the only worthy cause getting a helping hand here: A portion of the evening's proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross' Haiti relief efforts.
