Elliott Brood and El Le Faunt And His Traveling Circus at 7th Street Entry
Probably the best thing to come out of Windsor ... ever, Elliot Brood has been making noise and taking names since 2002. Playing its self-named “death country,” the trio has been at the forefront of the Canadian alt-country boom. The band has seen a steady increase in its popularity over the last few years, helped in no small part by a Polaris Prize nomination for their 2008 effort, Mountain Meadows, as well as a spot on the Olympic stage during the 2010 games in Vancouver. While the suitcase bass drum may be in retirement, Elliot Brood still tend to create a ruckus in their hometown in support of their new record, Days Into Years. Might want to bring a cowboy hat for this one.
