Gallagher and Metallagher at Station 4

Gallagher is unquestionably an anachronism, but one who has steadily stained his follower’s hearts and shirts with punishing mists of smashed watermelons and chunks of cottage cheese since the early '80s. The mainstream has long since deserted prop comedy, but Gallagher has stuck to his guns. This past decade, Gallagher has slowed down considerably, producing only two specials (2000’s Sledge-O-Matic.com and 2005’s Tropic Of Gallagher), but his shtick has remained largely unchanged. Despite some ironic clowning on environmentalism as “Uncle Earth,” a man whose entire face is our planet and talks to kids about why Earth isn’t worth saving, audiences can still expect Gallagher to berate his audience, riff tangentially, and then triumphantly smash shit. Opening is local act Metallagher, whose genius shtick involved Metallica covers sung by a Gallagher impersonator.
