Singer-songwriter Howie Day has toured at a relentless clip during the past few years, playing sharp folk-pop as an opener for various big-name acts. On his sophomore album, 2003’s Stop All The World Now, Day showed off a good mix of confidence and restraint in songs that ooze earnestness without getting too sappy, and it paid off in sales. He released the follow-up, Sound The Alarm, in September 2009. Here, he makes up for a January date that was postponed due to illness.
