John Sebastian And David Grisman at Cedar Cultural Center
Not that the '60s revival has ever really died for its most devoted fans, but this pairing offers an enviable look back: John Sebastian first came to prominence as the main songwriter of The Lovin' Spoonful, and mandolinist David Grisman piled together a hybrid style of bluegrass and jazz that he dubbed "dawg music." Sharing the stage here, they've promised to perform a mix of traditional folk and blues, originals, and even some "classy instrumentals." Here's hoping they have some good stories to share in between, too.
