Louie Anderson, Scott Hansen, and Mary Mack at Northrop Auditorium
Louie Anderson was Minnesota's biggest (no pun intended) contribution to the stand-up-comedy boom of the '80s, finding TV stardom as the third host of Family Feud and on his kiddie cartoon series Life With Louie. These days he spends most of his time in Las Vegas, where he performs at the Excalibur hotel five nights a week, but his Minnesotan roots remain the cornerstone of his comedy. He’s done an end-of-the-year homecoming show at Northrop on the U of M campus for more than 25 years (though this year’s date doesn’t fall on New Year’s Eve itself, as has been the tradition). He's accompanied by longtime friend and fellow Minnesota comedy vet Scott Hansen, as well as mandolin-wielding comic Mary Mack.
