Many blockbuster films have been based on premises introduced by big-name video games. That makes the 1985 film version of Clue a quaint oddity, considering it’s based on a board game. Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, and Michael McKean are their usual hilarious selves, and even Go-Go Jane Wiedlin makes an appearance as a singing telegram gal in this still-funny send-up of Agatha Christie-style murder mysteries. The film's cult appeal (and Curry appearance, no doubt) has spawned Rocky Horror-type audience participation—which has surely added fuel to the rumor that Pirates Of The Caribbean director Gore Verbinski recently agreed to helm the inevitable remake.
