Miike Snow is a Swedish band that makes experimental pop, which to say the outfit writes hook-laden songs and then promptly deconstructs them. Some of the tracks from Miike Snow’s 2009 self-titled debut sound straight from the discotheque, but many others fracture into something far more ambient and unsettling. Those left turns might unnerve, but they also create a rich palette for remixes from top-notch producers like Mark Ronson.
