Philadelphia's Many Arms gestated in a music scene that embraces the technical absorption of jazz alongside the liberated craziness of punk, noise, and indie rock. Guitarist Nick Milevoi somehow finds a melodic path into drummer Ricardo Lagomasino's tricky and at times maddening syncopations, and the live set should thrive on shifts between wandering noodles and blistering outbursts.
