Something Corporate at Cabooze
Something Corporate differs slightly from the usual pop-punk format by relying heavily on an unusual primary instrument: the piano. The band’s 2003 album, North, sounded kind of like Ben Folds by way of Orange County. The following year, the group decided to go on hiatus—a temporary break that stretched on as frontman Andrew McMahon battled leukemia (he's since gone into remission) and found greater success with a side project, Jack's Mannequin. But this year, Something Corporate reunited to release a greatest-hits album, Played In Space, and head back out on tour.
