It’s tough to think of another jazzy coke-rock outfit that’s had—or ever had a chance of having—the longevity of Steely Dan. Even core members Walter Becker and Donald Fagen seemed to concede the unlikely nature of their union when they named their 2000 comeback album Two Against Nature. Nine years, another album (2003’s Everything Must Go), and several tours later, it appears that Steely Dan is here to stay, and more than willing to give the fans what they want: Here the band will play 1977’s Aja in its entirety, including a few other select hits from its dense catalogue.
