Ed Ackerson is a busy man, what with a studio schedule that has recently included Motion City Soundtrack, Soul Asylum, and Joseph Arthur, not to mention his own solo work. So it was no surprise when he announced his psych-pop band Polara's only show of 2009 would also be its last for a while. Among the many other Susstones acts in this showcase is yet another Ackerson project, The Mood Swings, who recently gave the economy a sugary pop-rock punch with their Recessionista LP, plus relative newcomers Blue Sky Blackout, whose slick mod sound will fit right in on the label.
