Todd Glass at Acme Comedy Company

You know Todd Glass, even though you probably wouldn’t remember him if you stopped reading right now. The Philly weirdo has skipped around tons of television shows, doing bits with other high-profile comics (Conan O’Brien, Colin Quinn, Sarah Silverman), as well as showcase podcast Comedy Bang Bang and documentary I Am Comic. Though it generally seems that the stars with whom he interacts actually make the routines work, there’s obviously something to this guy that makes the famous people willing to play along. (Possibly his tendency to preface and self-edify his jokes, leaving room for improvised riffing.) In anticipation of his 2009 album, Thin Pig, Glass released a video in which, upset over the lack of CD sales, he berates his agent’s employees (and children) until he’s informed the digital album wasn’t even available yet. Glass recently, and notably, came out as gay on Marc Maron’s popular WTF podcast.
