Vans Warped Tour at Canterbury Park
The Vans Warped Tour turns 16 this year, which means it's finally old enough to drive its own damn self to Canterbury Park. That means it's also at the perfect age to enjoy short-shelf-life MySpace favorites like Never Shout Never and Attack Attack! while also digging into the Face To Face CDs its older brother left behind when he went off to college. Just like a real-live teenager, Warped's awareness of music outside punk increases with each passing year, and this year's lineup not only makes room for hip-hop (or whatever it is raspy loverboy Mike Posner does) but also gives over mainstage space to the postmodern complexities of Andrew W.K. and Dillinger Escape Plan.
