Lizz Winstead ran The Daily Show long before Jon Stewart was synonymous with the program. A co-creator and head writer of the beloved news-mocking show, Winstead left the program back in 1998, but has continued to work in political comedy ever since. The past decade has seen her host a similarly satirical morning show on the Oxygen Network and work alongside Chuck D and Rachel Maddow on Air America. Most recently, the Minnesota native has been at the helm of Shoot The Messenger, a live sketch show about an inept fictional news network that barely tackles important stories. For this special year-end show, she and MSNBC pundit Ed Schultz will recap 2009's best, worst, and WTF-est political moments.
