If you haven’t gone to CC, baby, you haven’t lived. Built just after Prohibition ended, the club became an official place-to-be in more recent years for bands like The Replacements and The Jayhawks, both of which name-check the club in songs. It’s still a favorite for club-kids of all ages, especially those fond of any sandwich described as “mile high.” It’s gritty and a bit ramshackle, with dark corners and barflies aplenty: in other words, the ideal Saturday-night hangout.
