venue Kieran's Irish Pub

The downtown flagship of Kieran Folliard’s Irish mini-empire of bars (which also includes The Local and Liffey’s) is a bastion of Celtic culture, with traditional bands and dancing every weekend in both the front bar and the spacious Titanic Room. A bustling lunch crowd shows up on weekdays, drawn by the wide variety of sandwiches and old-country dishes like shepherd’s pie. The inside is dark, comfy, and tres Gaelic, decked out with old Guinness ads and portraits of writers like James Joyce and Flann O’Brien.
