When a bar has two shamrocks in its logo, you should know what’s coming: an Irish pub on overdrive. Opened in 1941 by James Freeman O’Gara, the tavern is still O’Gara-owned and it combines that loving family feel with an expansive, gang’s-all-here vibe. Live music, well-poured beers, and half-pound burgers combine for some Erin Go Bragh flavor. A mural of leprechaun cobblers, a shillelagh over the bar, and many shamrocks provide decoration.
