Pioneering Los Angeles: White Fence pays homage to Gram Parsons
About This Episode

Welcome back to Pioneering, our new video (and event) series. We’re happy that some of you made it out to the shoots, and here we present the next fruits of our labor: White Fence paying tribute to Gram Parsons. Above you’ll find two videos—the first a sort of documentary-style discussion about the band, their influence, and the particular song that White Fence chose to cover, “Lazy Days.” The second video is the band’s full performance of the song, recorded live at the Troubadour in Los Angeles—where Parsons used to hang out, and where just about every great American band of the last 40 years has performed. And throughout you’ll find our host, Eef Barzelay, asking questions and hanging out with A.V. Clubbers. New episodes will arrive every Monday until we’re done. Thanks for watching, and please check out the Pioneering social hub for bonus footage and other extras.
