Pioneering San Francisco: Shakey Graves pays homage to Jefferson Airplane
About This Episode

Welcome back to Pioneering, our new video (and event) series. We’re happy that some of you made it out to the first series of shoots, and here we present the next fruits of our labor: Shakey Graves and Eef Barzelay paying tribute to Jefferson Airplane. Above you’ll find two videos—the first a sort of documentary-style discussion about the band, their influence, and the particular song that our guys chose to cover, “Somebody To Love.” The second video is the full performance of the song, recorded live at Bottom Of The Hill in San Francisco. And throughout you’ll find our host and co-performer, Eef Barzelay, asking questions and hanging out with A.V. Clubbers. This is the fifth episode, to air every Monday until we’re done. Thanks for watching, and please check out the Pioneering social hub for bonus footage and other extras.
