It’s not a “plot hole” inherently but the sudden appearance of the only one of the sidekicks *not* to be invited was an extreme narrative convenience in an annoying way.

The lack of strong Sun sequences in this episode is also a problem. She didn’t get it quite as bad as Lito, but she definitely felt sidelined.
