“Young Turks,” Rod Stewart’s anthemic ode to youth rebellion, tells the story of two teenagers running away from home to be together despite their parents’ wishes, and it set the stage for a decade of hits. No strangers to defiance, D.C. punk band Priests chose to tackle the song for their Undercover. The result is a cover that lines up quite nicely with the band’s catalog, even if the lyrics don’t feel as rebellious now as they did in 1981.

Priests’ debut studio album (and one of The A.V. Club’s best albums of 2017 so far), Nothing Feels Natural, is available now on Sister Polygon Records. Watch our interview with the band below.
