Actor who was sort of in The Social Network cast in The Dark Knight Rises
Heat Vision is saying that Josh Pence has signed onto Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises as a young Ra’s Al Ghul, Batman’s onetime mentor and occasional enemy who has a similarly complicated relationship with his own mortality. According to the report, Pence will appear in flashback scenes that occur 30 years prior to the events of the film. And while there obviously haven’t been any plot points released yet, this would seem to suggest that those earlier rumors about Marion Cotillard playing Talia Al Ghul may not be totally crazy—and of course, knowing that Ra’s himself factors in, we suppose it’s only a matter of time before we hear about Liam Neeson reprising his role from Batman Begins. Anyway, this is quite a coup for Pence, whose most famous appearance to date has been playing one of the Winklevoss twins in The Social Network, where his face was Armie Hammered out.
