Amazing new lawsuit claims Garth Brooks turned down the starring role in Twister because the tornado was the real star

Garth Brooks might be a little crazy if claims filed against him by a former partner are to be believed. Lisa Sanderson, who’s worked with both Brooks and Merv Griffin, has filed a lawsuit against Brooks, saying that she lost out on money and opportunities because the “Thunder Rolls” singer is a “paranoid, angry, deceitful, and vindictive man who will turn against those closest to him on a dime.”

The actual complaint Sanderson filed is a doozy, with a number of shocking revelations that may or may not be true. Included among them is an accusation that Brooks turned down a role in Twister, saying (seriously) that he refused to share the screen with the tornado, which he called the real star. He also nixed a slot in Saving Private Ryan because he was unwilling to share the spotlight with other less successful stars like Tom Hanks, Matt Damon, and Ed Burns.

The lawsuit also claims that Red Strokes, a production company Sanderson launched with Brooks, burned bridges with Tim Burton, who it was somehow in talks with about both Burton’s Alice In Wonderland and a Brooks’ penned script called Alyss.

Brooks also allegedly tanked a partnership with Fox. The studio was interested in a script the singer wrote—because apparently he does that—about a rock star worth more dead than alive, but during a meeting, Brooks both claimed his then-alive father was dead and refused to share any of his music with the studio or the production.

Sanderson is seeking $425,000 in damages from unpaid salary, bonuses, and punitive damages and is suing for breach of contract, fraud, and more.
