AVC writer achieves tiny measure of cinematic immortality by being mean to actor

Presented without comment, except to say: This is a scene from Queen Of The Lot, the latest film from writer-director Henry Jaglom (Festival In Cannes, Déja Vu), and yet another in his line of stories about an up-and-comer trying to make it in the film biz. Here, star Tanna Frederick is playing a little-known actor trying to spin her arrest and minor tabloid fame into larger success, but she can’t help being disappointed with her reviews—for which Jaglom used quotes from actual reviews of a previous movie with her, 2006’s Hollywood Dreams.

Okay, maybe two comments: Frederick’s stabbity keyboard use has got to be hard on that poor Mac. And what was wrong with this quote from our review? “It’s unclear whether Frederick is an awful actress or a tremendous one pretending to be awful.” Not mean enough? Too mean?
