Bask in the darkness with two new tracks from Night Sins
Since the release of last year’s Guilty Of Everything, Philadelphia-based band Nothing has toured relentlessly, pushing its version of metallic shoegaze in front of audiences at a volume best described as “punishing.” But before Nothing was assaulting audiences with chest-rattling decibels, drummer Kyle Kimball was doling out danceable darkwave under the moniker Night Sins. The A.V. Club is streaming two tracks from Night Sins’ new 7-inch “Down To Drown,” which will be released this Saturday via Anybody’s Flowers.
The newly-launched label deals exclusively in 7-inch singles, and is run by the members of Loss Leader, a newly formed project featuring Nick Fit and Patrick Kindlon of Self Defense Family and Drug Church. Anybody’s Flowers will release six 7-inches throughout the year, two at a time, with Night Sins and Loss Leader marking the first two releases for Fit and Kindlon’s new endeavor. Both tracks from the single can be found below, and “Down To Drown” will be available tomorrow through Deathwish, the label that’s released a bevy of Self Defense Family’s material and Anybody’s Flowers’ exclusive distribution partner.
