Martin Scorsese adds Charli xcx cameo to his Jennifer Lawrence-Leonardo DiCaprio movie

Months after Charli xcx tapped the director to be the embodiment of “film” in the album art for Music, Fashion, Film, Martin Scorsese has returned the favor. Variety reports that Charli will have some sort of cameo in Scorsese’s upcoming What Happens At Night, which will star Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film will follow them as an American couple that travels to Europe to adopt a child, “but as they struggle to claim their child, the less they seem to know about themselves,” according to a synopsis. Not much is known about Charli’s part, but we’ll go out on a limb and guess that she’ll play someone European. Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson, and Jared Harris are also slated to appear in the film.
