Wile E. Coyote did a Reddit AMA, has some David Zaslav thoughts

Which is all preamble to noting that Reddit’s r/movies was recently graced by an appearance by no less determined a luminary than noted “Genius” Wile E. Coyote, promoting his new film Coyote Vs. Acme. Although we have no idea who actually wrote Coyote’s answers—provided via stills from the film where he holds up a sign, with new words edited in—many of the answers were undeniably very cute, including Wile E.’s response to being asked about hugging the Road Runner at the end of Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (“It was an emotional day”) and how he felt when he heard that a non-cartoon coyote had recently actually managed to catch a roadrunner. (“We cannot judge our worth on the work of others.”)

But given the narrative surrounding the once-canceled film—and the diversity of opinions his co-stars on the movie have expressed, from Will Forte’s righteous anger to John Cena’s pod person “I don’t own my performance so I don’t care”—it was inevitable that Coyote would field at least one question about Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav, the man who turned his movie into a tax write-off. True to form, Wile E. didn’t go on at length—or say anything that might get Ketchup Entertainment, which ended up acquiring Coyote Vs. Acme from Warner Bros., in trouble—when asked whether Zaslav had been in league with the malevolent Acme corporation to kill the movie, but the implication of the answer was pretty clear: A glowering Coyote, plus a sign reading, “It’s a limited number of signs.”
