Created by The Onion’s co-founder Scott Dikkers, the comic strip Jim’s Journal was an integral part of the primordial days of our sister publication, and we’re happy to announce that—after more than a decade’s absence—it’s returning next week with all new material. According to Dikkers’ late-’90s collaborator Jay Rath, the two are currently at work reviving the strip for gocomics.com, bringing into the 21st century the passive anti-humor that once so encapsulated the Generation-X attitude. We have no idea what that will look like, but we’re guessing that Jim will continue to be primarily ineffectual and not really do much besides float through life and observe things, but hopefully he has a better job now.
